Access for Registered Users

If you already have an evway app account, log in using your credentials to access all EV app features.

Payment Method

To start an electric vehicle charging session, you’ll need to add a payment method through our EV payment options:

• Credit card • Debit card • PayPal

Rest assured, your credit card information is never stored or processed by our systems—your privacy is completely secure in our EV charging app. Please note that mobile EV charging cannot be started, whether at paid or free EV charging stations, if your account balance is negative.

EV Payment Options Available

We offer several payment methods:

Pay-as-you-go:
You can pay for each electric vehicle charging session individually. At the end of every session, the cost will be deducted from your selected payment method. If your payment method doesn’t have enough funds to cover the session, your account will have a negative balance, and you won’t be able to use mobile EV charging again until you’ve added funds.

Prepaid Credit:
You can purchase prepaid credit to top up your digital wallet (Wallet) for electric vehicle charging. Charging costs will automatically be deducted from your Wallet. With the Wallet, you can also enable the auto-recharge feature to ensure seamless EV charging app usage.

  • Auto-recharge enabled: If your balance goes below zero after an electric vehicle charging session, the auto-recharge feature will automatically top up your Wallet to your desired amount, so you always have enough credit for your next session.
  • Auto-recharge disabled: If your balance goes below zero after an EV charging session, your payment method will automatically be charged the amount needed to bring your balance back to zero, plus a €1 fee.

Instant Payment for EV Charging
If you’d like to charge at an evway station without registering on the EV charging app, you can activate and pay for a single EV charging session using the QR code located below the station’s sockets. Simply scan the QR code to access a web page and follow the instructions to start charging.

Invoice or Receipt Options
For your EV charging purchases, you can choose between an invoice or a receipt through the evway app:

  • If you don’t need a formal electronic invoice, a standard receipt will be issued.
  • If you require an electronic invoice, simply enter and/or confirm the necessary details for its issuance.

Multi-profile Management
In the Profile section, you can add multiple evway app accounts, including different types (Private or Business). Simply click on a profile to view its details.

RFID TAG – KEYFOB for Enhanced EV Charging

The “Search” function allows you to search by city/town or specific location on the charging stations map. Your recent searches are saved for quick access to frequently used EV charging stations and can be deleted whenever you wish to do so.

Charging Stations

As you navigate the map, you’ll see all the charging points across Italy and Europe that can be activated using the evway App or KeyFob.

The charging stations map provides real-time information about each electric vehicle charging point’s availability:

  • Green: At least one connector is free for mobile EV charging
  • Blue: All connectors are currently in use
  • Red: All connectors are out of service

Charging points are also marked by type:

  • Light blue icon: AC electric vehicle charging points
  • Dark blue icon: DC electric vehicle charging points

Stations located at hotels, shops, tourist attractions, or parking areas are highlighted with special markers based on their category.

For a smoother experience, always check the station’s accessibility details directly in the App before heading there.

Charging Station Icons

Charging points are marked with different icons based on their category, making it easy to quickly identify the nearby services available at each station.

Charging

Start and Stop EV Charging

Electric vehicle charging with the evway app is simple:

  1. Select the EV charging station on the charging stations map
  2. Choose the connector you want to use and swipe to start mobile EV charging
  3. Plug in the cable within 60 seconds and wait for EV charging notifications confirming session start.

For RFID tag charging: Simply hold your evway KeyFob near the station’s reader to begin electric vehicle charging and plug in within 60 seconds.

To stop charging:

â€˘ App users: Press “Stop” in “Active Sessions”

Active Sessions and Charging History

In the “Profile” section, you can view the complete history of all your electric vehicle charging sessions. For each session, you’ll find detailed information, including:

  • Date
  • kWh charged
  • Session cost
  • CO2 saved
  • Session duration
  • Charging time

Charging time refers to the actual time energy was delivered to your vehicle during electric vehicle charging, while session duration indicates the total time your car was connected to the EV charging station. Please note that the displayed time depends on the data provided by the charging station operator, which may reflect different time zones. However, the session duration for your mobile EV charging is always accurate and reliable in the evway app.

Notifications – Charging Status

When your electric vehicle charging session starts, you’ll receive EV charging notifications confirming that the mobile EV charging session has been authorized through the evway app.

Once your electric vehicle charging session ends, you’ll receive another EV charging notification with all the details of the completed mobile EV charging session, including energy delivered and costs.

If a rate change is about to occur at the EV charging station (when a time-based fee is added to the energy usage fee), you’ll get EV charging notifications 30 minutes in advance through the evway app. This gives you time to unplug and free up the charging point for other electric vehicle charging users. If you don’t unplug within those 30 minutes, a second EV charging notification will inform you that the rate has changed for your mobile EV charging session.

Enable Notifications

Go to smartphone Settings > Notifications > evway app > Allow Notifications for complete EV charging notifications.

PRICING

The rates applied

For all interoperable EV charging stations in Italy and Europe, evway applies different rates depending on the operator. Always check costs in the EV charging app before starting electric vehicle charging. The pricing structure includes a consumption-based rate and a time-based rate:

AC Stations

  • A consumption-based rate is applied throughout the electric vehicle charging session.
  • Time-based rate added after first 3 consecutive hours
  • Nighttime suspension (midnight to 8:00 AM) for time-based rates

Example 1:

Rate: €0.69
Session Start: 10:00 PM
The consumption-based rate applies for the entire session.
From midnight to 8:00 AM, the time-based rate is suspended, but the charging time is calculated. If the session starts at 10:00 PM, the first 3 hours end at 1:00 AM.
Starting from 8:01 AM, the time-based rate is added to the consumption-based rate.

Example 2:

Rate: €0.69
Session Start: 6:00 AM
The consumption-based rate applies for the entire session.
From midnight to 8:00 AM, the time-based rate is suspended, but the charging time is calculated. If the session starts at 6:00 AM, the first 3 hours end at 9:00 AM.
In this case, the time-based rate is added to the consumption-based rate starting at 9:00 AM.

Fast DC Stations

  • A consumption-based rate is applied throughout the electric vehicle charging session.
  • Time-based rate added after first hour
  • 24/7 time-based rate application (including nighttime).
