Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about the my-ev-fleet app, charging, KeyFob and tariffs.
Registration/login
I can’t log in to the App / I forgot my password
Make sure you’ve downloaded the correct my-ev-fleet App (not evway). Check the credentials you entered and click “Forgot password” to reset it. If the email address you use to log in is linked to your number plate, call + 39 02 600 60 220 or email assistenza@evway.net.
Charging process
How do I start/stop charging with the KeyFob?
If you’re using the my-ev-fleet KeyFob, tap it against the sensor on the charging socket to start the session, then plug in the cable within 60 seconds.
Tap it against the charging socket again to end the session.
Do I need to plug in the cable before or after starting the session?
You can start the session first and plug in the cable afterwards.
Which charge points can I use with the my-ev-fleet App and/or KeyFob?
With the my-ev-fleet App and/or KeyFob you can charge at all public charge points shown on the my-ev-fleet App map — in Italy and across Europe. You can also start charging at stations installed on-site or at home. We recommend always checking the App to see the status of the charge point.
Where can I find a charge point’s tariff?
The tariff for a charge point is shown on the App, on the station’s detail page.
How much does charging cost?
The cost of each charging session depends on the tariff of the chosen charge point and the time taken to charge.
Where can I see the cost of each session?
Go to your session history to see the cost of the session.
Keyfob
Is there a card version?
The KeyFob, my-ev-fleet’s RFID tag, isn’t a card — it’s a keyring fob. The KeyFob lets you charge without using the App, simply by tapping it against the sensor on the charging station.
How does it work?
The KeyFob is the RFID tag that lets you charge without using the App. The KeyFob you receive is already linked to your profile. Just tap it against the sensor on the charging station to start and/or stop charging.
Why isn’t my KeyFob working?
If your KeyFob isn’t working, contact customer support: call + 39 02 600 60 220 or email assistenza@evway.net.
Can I remove a KeyFob from my account?
Yes, you can. Go to the “Profiles” area and select the relevant account. Click “RFID card”, find the KeyFob you want to remove and follow the on-screen instructions: this removes it from your account.
Tariffs
What tariffs does my-ev-fleet apply?
In every European country a single tariff is applied for each connector type (AC and DC/HPC), valid at all charging stations regardless of operator.
We recommend always checking the costs in the App before starting a session.
There is a consumption-based tariff plus a time-based tariff:
AC stations:
- A consumption-based tariff applies for the whole session
- After the first 4 consecutive hours, a time-based tariff is added to the consumption tariff for every hour — or part of an hour
- Between midnight and 8am the time-based tariff is not applied
Example 1: Charging session started at 22:00
The consumption-based tariff applies for the whole charging session.
Between midnight and 8:00am, the time-based tariff is suspended, but charging time is still counted: starting the session at 22:00, the first 4 hours expire at 02:00.
From 08:01 onwards the time-based tariff is added to the consumption tariff.
Example 2: Charging session started at 06:00
The consumption-based tariff applies for the whole charging session.
Between midnight and 8:00am, the time-based tariff is suspended, but charging time is still counted: starting the session at 06:00, the first 4 hours expire at 09:00.
In this case the time-based tariff is added to the consumption tariff once the 4 hours are up — i.e. at 09:00.
DC and HPC stations:
- A consumption-based tariff applies for the whole session
- After the first consecutive hour, a time-based tariff is added to the consumption tariff for every hour — or part of an hour — including at night
Travel tools
How do I activate eMX navigation mode?
To activate eMX, tap the dedicated icon at the bottom centre of the screen.
How does the Route Planner work?
Tapping the map icon (bottom centre of the screen) opens a window where you can enter a series of details (vehicle, starting point and destination, battery percentage…) and plan your trip. The navigator shows the route length and duration, and the charging stops needed.
You can save the trip and view it offline too, or start the route straight away with a navigation app (Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps).
What’s the difference between eMX Navigator and Route Planner?
- eMX: the tool for free-form navigation that shows you available stations as you drive.
- Route Planner: the tool for assisted navigation that lets you enter a starting point and destination, shows the route and stations along the way, and gives directions to your chosen destination.

App settings
How do I turn on dark mode?
To turn on dark mode, tap Menu and then Settings. There you can choose between light and dark mode.
Why is the eMX map dark even though light mode is on?
The eMX map display doesn’t depend on the App settings, but on your device settings.
How do I turn on landscape mode?
Landscape mode depends on your device settings: make sure you’ve enabled horizontal orientation. Then simply rotate your smartphone horizontally to view the App in landscape mode.
